Jan. 21--Hi!/ Bicycles and Dogs!

Hi!
The library was closed yesterday for MLK day so here we are. This week has been wonderful! But really really hard!
We didn't have the car this week so we have been mobbing the streets with our bicycles the past 7 days. We were just frozen popsicles all the day long! It was pretty hilarious actually. We laughed our way through the week! It was so physically draining, but it's crazy how much strength you receive at the time needed. The Lord truly provides! NOTE: When you are cold, talk to someone about the gospel and then you won't even feel cold anymore. That's real. That reminds me.. How are all y'alls missionary efforts coming along? Caden, you should go out with the missionaries some time!
Bike weeks are always super funny. You meet the craziest people on the streets. These southerners are just too good. I love them. They all have the funniest perceptions of Mormons! One guy related the Book of Mormon to a book about vampires. YEP.
We were able to teach the Nelsons the restoration earlier last week! It was really awesome! We set a date for middle of February! We met with them yesterday and I had the hugest impression the day before to talk to them about prayer instead of the plan of salvation, but I kept rationalizing and telling myself that they really needed the plan of salvation and I totally didn't follow the spirit and I am so mad at myself. So we had a weird lesson yesterday. We were able to address a lot of concerns, but we really should have talked about prayer. Moral of the story -- Always listen to the spirit. Always. You'd think I'd have learned that lesson by now :) Sometimes it is just really hard being human. I always expect perfection out of myself, which is good and bad haha.
Lots of new investigators this week again! One of our strengths is definitely finding, but now we need to help all these people progress. It's exciting and overwhelming all at the same time.
We had the craziest lesson with Jeanette and Ron. She had a seizure during the lesson! She has lots of health problems and has been having seizures a lot lately so it was super scary. I thought she was dying or something because I had never witnessed one before. She felt so bad that we saw her have one. She is so willing to learn and reads a ton out of the book of Mormon. She's wonderful! They're both wonderful. I know they can find strength and happiness in this gospel.
We also had a super cool lesson with Jeanne Dunn (did I ever tell you that we are teaching like 3 Jessica's and 3 Jeanne's? Yeah it gets real confusing sometimes). Jeanne is so prepared and ready to learn! We have a lesson again with her tonight! We are going to set a baptisimal date and talk about the restoration. She's awesome.
Fun fact: I lost my scriptures this week and I about had a heart attack. I love my scriptures!!! But we found them and all was well.
Yesterday for p-day (it was a BEAUTIFUL day and now it's snowing and cold -- I'm tellin' ya tennesee weather is crazy) we went to Cedars of Lebanon State Park and went on a little hike!!! It was short and just a little hilly, but it was beautiful and relaxing and awesome and happy. Then we played tennis! It was like my favorite p-day ever. It's cool because I have common interests with some people in my district. Well, ok, one with hiking and one with tennis. But everyone comes and likes it! I feel like I'm the only one that can make decisions around here haha I promise I'm not being selfish!
The 2 Nephi 27:28 prophecy about Lebanon, Tennessee rolls forth! (Just bear with my imagination here.) This is truly the Lord's work and I am grateful to be a small part of it.
Thank you for all of your support! I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing from you!
I love you all so much.
Love,
Sister Boren
(Oh! I almost forgot! Tabatha wrote me and it was the best letter ever! She is so awesome. She said, "I got asked to (well, called) to be an assistant to the youth craft nights. I am so excited about it! I am so ready to be more involved in the church. I am determined to work my way up to the day that I am speaking at the general conference!" Then she continued to say a bunch of nice things to me that made me cry tears of joy. Her conversion was totally and 100% the spirit. It's crazy cool to see.)

Oh, and about the dogs. Sister Rawlings and I are convinced that dogs are possessed by Satan. They all hate us and try to run after us on our bikes. It's probably really funny to watch, but it is super sketch when you're the one on the bike in a skirt/dress, ha!
Also, I just realized I forgot my SD card thing to put in the computer to upload pictures. I have tons of pics from this week so I'm super sad but I will send them next week! Love yall!
