Jan. 13--HI!

There was just a lot that happened this week I don't even know where to start! It was a pretty tough week, but we are keeping our heads up!

Taught lots of restoration lessons this week, which is great! We taught Joanna, Von and Cai and set a date for February 5th. They said if they feel that it is right then they will be baptized!! Joanna and Von need to get married first though.

David's grandpa died this week so we haven't been able to see them for like a week and a half now. I feel so sorry for him! He's had a hard time with it. His baptisimal date will be moved as well because we haven't been able to see him and Rhoads. Rhoads is a guy by the way, a lot of people get confused and think he's a girl! Ha!

We are teaching the Nelson family now and they are super awesome! Just really solid, good people. We have an appointment with them Tuesday so I am excited about that!

We had a really cool experience with this lady Jeanne Dunn. We were walking back to a car and contacted her on her back porch. We got to talking to her and she was super interested in the gospel and really opened up. She started talking about how she is coming out of addiction to a few hard drugs and she just wants to be free from them. We talked about the power of the atonement and it was super spiritual. She started crying and we gave her a book of Mormon and she was so excited to read. We are seeing her tonight! Probably the coolest contact experience I've had on my mission.

We contacted a less active named Shirley Davis too and had a very spiritual experience with her. Her husband passed away two years ago and she has had a hard time with it. She started getting really emotional when we talked about the plan of salvation and just really wants to get to church. Her goal is to be worthy to enter the temple! I hope we can help her get there.

We found lots of new investigators and talked to lots of people this week. We just need to help all of these people to progress! It was a good week!

Side note - It is raining like mad right now! This place is extremely unpredictable with its weather patterns. Good ole Tennesee.

I love you all a lot a lot a lot! Thank you for all of your support! You're letters/packages mean the world.

Love,
Sister Boren

The castle on top of a hill!
We went out to the country and it was super pretty! You can't really capture it, but it was pretty :)
